Kia ora, I’m Clara Silcock, a freelance website designer residing in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.

I have over 15 years of experience working as a graphic designer, marketing manager, digital marketing specialist, project manager, and web designer.

In 2023, I established my own business, Hello Human, to offer affordable freelance web design services to small businesses and start-ups. My aim is to bridge the gap between those unable to afford high agency rates and those who wish to avoid the frustrations and shortcomings of DIY website building.

I design and build websites to be inherently mobile-friendly, rank higher on google, and minimise unnecessary coding to set my clients up for success online. Leveraging my previous work experience, I’m also able to provide support and advice with digital marketing or design.

How I can help

Web Design

As a front end website designer I work on a range of websites for clients from simple portfolio websites through to e-commerce websites. Whilst I am open to working on a platform you may already have or prefer. My preference and recommendation for my clients is always WordPress for its vast flexibility when it comes to design, SEO performance, and easy to use CMS.

Website care package

For clients that use WordPress you will need to keep your plug-ins regularly updated and do regular security checks. I offer this on a monthly basis and as part of this service I am also happy to make updates to your content to keep it fresh and improve its ranking on google.

Digital Advertising

Increasingly the customer journey is beginning online as consumers seek inspiration, discover and consider products and services before purchasing them. I work with my clients to grow their profile online and customer base using Google Ads and Meta Ads.
